AutoMat Newsletter #1 We're aLive!

Welcome to AutoMat!
AutoMat is a Horizon-funded project, which officially commenced on 1 January 2024. The project seeks to enhance the traceability and automation of battery recycling and reuse processes, offering advanced solutions for critical steps such as disassembly, safety operations, and energy recovery. A central objective is the development of an open digital platform for battery traceability, underpinned by a Digital Battery Passport (DBP). By integrating technological innovation with digital tools, AutoMat aims to establish a circular, transparent, and sustainable battery value chain across Europe.
The consortium comprises 14 partners from Italy, Spain, France, Germany, Poland, and Switzerland, under the coordination of ERP Italia Servizi. This diverse partnership brings together expertise from research, industry, and innovation, reinforcing the project’s capacity to achieve its technical, environmental, and strategic objectives.
Through this newsletter, we will provide regular updates on project milestones, events, and opportunities.
